Meet Our National President

National Women’s President – Aglow International, Italy

Reverend Martha Ahlijah Frimpong is a passionate woman of faith, a committed wife, a devoted mother of two daughters, and a servant-leader with a mandate to ignite prayer, purpose, and power in the lives of many across Italy and beyond. She is the National President of Aglow International in Italy and a voice of inspiration for many.

Born with a calling for ministry, Rev. Martha pursued her spiritual formation at Rhema Bible School (founded by Kenneth Hagin Jr.) in Verona, Italy. It was shortly after completing Bible school that her journey with Aglow in Italy began. On a faithful Saturday—October 1st, 2005—an Italian friend, Adriana, encouraged her to launch Aglow in the country. Through prayer, vision, and obedience, she invited women from her church and community. That first meeting, hosted with the support of Pastor Abu Bonsra, brought together fifteen women—and marked the beginning of a nationwide movement.

Having once been a member of Aglow in her youth in Ghana, Rev. Martha embraced the mission with full heart and conviction. Under her visionary leadership, Aglow Italy has grown to include chapters in cities such as Verona, Brescia, Pordenone, Modena, Palazzolo, Como, and many more. She has raised intercessors, nurtured spiritual leaders, and built a sisterhood of strength rooted in prayer and purpose.

Rev. Martha’s heart burns with a divine desire: that women will rise up, take their place in the Kingdom, and bring souls into the harvest of God. She stands firmly on the Word in Psalm 68:11 (AMP):

“The Lord gives the command [to take His message]; The women who proclaim the good news are a great host (army).”

Her ministry has not gone unnoticed. In 2012, Rev. Martha was honored with the prestigious Ghana-Italy Excellency Award in Brescia for her leadership and the unifying impact of her prayer ministry throughout the nation. That same year, she launched her first publication, “The Grace,” followed by “The Power of a Praying Woman.” Now in its ninth edition, her magazine is a treasured resource for mothers and women of faith across Italy.

In 2013, she hosted Aglow Italy’s first indoor women’s conference at Hotel da Franco in Verona. Over the next ten years, the gathering grew and flourished, and is now held at the spacious Parc Hotel to accommodate the ever-increasing numbers of women eager to worship, pray, and receive.

Rev. Martha often declares with assurance:

“And the Lord is with us.” (Joshua 1:9)

“Never lagging behind in diligence; aglow in the Spirit, enthusiastically serving the Lord.”
Romans 12:11 (AMP)

With grace, fire, and unwavering faith, Reverend Martha Ahlijah Frimpong continues to build a legacy of Kingdom women and men—called, equipped, and sent for such a time as this.
